IIS Petrucci Ferraris Maresca

Our school is one of the biggest school in Catanzaro. It has a total number of students of about 1000 and 270 in G.Ferraris , our vocational school.

Catanzaro lies in the middle of Calabria- our region’s name.  It has byzantine origins and lies in the Squillace Gulf on Ionion sea.

Our school focuses on specializing students on professional activities in the area of ​​maintenance and technical assistance , operating in the electronics, electrical engineering, heating technology, mechanical engineering.

 We partecipate to many activities and in particular to National digital school plan, alternating training , electronic fairs.

 

The main purpose of the institute are: 

• Well-being of the students ;

• Recovery of disadvantage ;

• Inclusion of students with a migrant background or disabled;

• Teaching of " Citizenship and Constitution " introduced by Law no . 169 of 30.10.2008 ;

• Sensitivity to environmental problems ;

• Strengthening of the study of foreign language and ICT , with the possibility of achieving certifications;

Our students  are aged between 14 to 19 years old.

Turkey

Süleyman Demirel Anadolu Lisesi, Istanbul, Turkey

Situated in the heart of Istanbul ,our school Süleyman Demirel Anadolu Lisesi has 650 students and 52 teachers. Students attend this school after a certain exam .In the school there are 22 clasrooms, 2 STEM labs ,1 Foreign Languages lab and 1 ITC lab.
    11th graders choose the department they want to specalise. There are Maths,Literature and Language Intensive classes at school.
     Students are given the chance to learn while having fun.Thats why they can play Taboo, Articulate and  Scrabble in the Foreign Languages Lab. Our motto is Learning is Fun!

Estonia

Kanepi Gymnasium in Kanepi, Estonia

Kanepi Gymnasium is a country school located in South Estonia, Kanepi, which is a municipality with 2500 people. It is a rural living environment with lots of forests and lakes.  There are 183 students in Kanepi Gymnasium at the age of 7-19 years in grades 1-12 and 27 teachers, the principal is Ilvi Suislepp. The school logo depicts the statue called “Hope” by famous Estonian sculptor August Weitzenberg originated from Kanepi. The students are involved in regional environmental and science projects. The experience in international projects is gained through eTwinning and students’ exchange programs with partner schools in Germany and Italy. The students study English, Russian and German as foreign languages within Estonian standard curriculum. Extra-curricular activities include folk dance, choirs, sports, IT- based activities.

The main objective of our school is to provide the education which helps to manage in the developing national and European environment. The key-points:

Spain

Institut Guillem Catà, Manresa in Spain

Guillem Catà High School takes its name after an influential Catalan architect of the XIV century.  It has over 900 students and up to 97 teachers, with principal Marta Codina, and 4 administrative members. It is in a middle-sized town called Manresa, in the centre of Catalonia.

The courses conducted at the school range from compulsory education to post-obligatory studies, so students are from 12 years old and above.  There is a large variety of vocational training courses addressed to serving the local community. Some examples are medical centres aides, trade and commerce, marketing, hair-dressing and personal image, child education and socio-cultural activities and tourism. The foreign languages taught at the school are English and French and they are at the basis of most learning processes.

The main goals at the school are learning by cooperation, cohesion among the community and will for work; all of these are attained by means of coordinated activities along the school year.

Poland

SZKOŁA PODSTAWOWA nr 2 im.  Jarosława Dąbrowskiego w OLSZTYNIE

Our school is a primary school No. 2 titled after Jarosław Dąbrowski, a Polish general from the 19th century. In our school there are 1314 students from the age of 6 to 16 and we have 143 teachers. The school is located in Olsztyn - a capital city of the region Warmia and Mazury.

We are a school that focuses on the individual development of each student.

The school has sports classes specializing in handball (boys), athletics (girls and boys), classes with increased number of  English and science lessons. Students are taught 3 foreign languages: English, German and Spanish.

We have a wide range of extracurricular activities in line with the interests and needs of students:

Greece

2o Geniko Lykeio Neas Ionias Magnisias, Volos in Greece

Τhe 2nd Upper Secondary school of Nea Ionia-Volos is located in the Nea Ionia suburb of the town of Volos in central Greece. Volos is located almost halfway between Athens and Thessaloniki on Greek mainland and is a port city. It was the departure spot of the Argonautic expedition. Our school is a general secondary school with 32 staff and its principal is Panagiotis Mandrakis and almost 300 students - medium sized for Greek standards. Age range of our students is from 14-15 to 18 years.

The premises of our school include conference and theatre room, gymnastics hall as well as various science labs for biology, physics, chemistry, computing, CNC, electrical installations and a radio station which broadcasts over radio waves and internet.   Our school  has a long established experience in bringing together learning and the arts through our  a really active drama club, photography and video editting groups.

Our school participates in five (5)  Erasmus + projects as we strongly believe that is an excellent  opportunity for students to improve their communicative and personal skills and at the same time broaden their minds and horizons through such activities provided by school.

THE NATIONAL COLLEGE OF COMPUTER SCIENCES GRIGORE MOISILBRASOV, ROMANIA

 

THE NATIONAL COLLEGE OF COMPUTER SCIENCES GRIGORE MOISIL, is an important college in Brasov. The college is a top one, having good students with excellent results.

The college is situated in Brasov, in the heart of Romania, in a beautiful city that combines tradition and modernity.

Our school offers classes for highschool students and gymnasium as well. In the school there are 24 classrooms. The school is focused on compter sciences mainly, but the school curriculum offers foreign languages as well, as a very important part of studying. There is an English intensive language class. The gymnasium pupils are selected after passing an exam in Romanian Language and Maths.

Our school offers a quality education, by its computer labs, Chemistry and Physics labs and Library. The physical education classes are taught in a modern gym hall.

The students take part in many Olympics, contests and competitions every year.
